Best Steak Houses in Boca Raton

Look away, my vegan friends.
For the carnivores among us, I ask you: What’s better than a big, juicy, lovingly prepared, perfectly cooked steak? Maybe I’m just hungry, but right now I can’t think of a single thing. Boca Raton has several steakhouses so good that locals debate the topic with ferocity. So with no further ado, I offer my salute to steak, with five of the best places to find one in Boca Raton. Debate among yourselves.

Abe & Louie’s - Boca Raton

2200 Glades Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431

Abe & Louie’s is the epitome of classic American steakhouses offering unparalleled flavor combinations and undeniably superior service. While they are known for their steak, you would be missing out if you didn’t order the crabmeat cocktail. Also a great lunch spot!

New York Prime

2350 NW Executive Center Dr, Boca Raton, FL 33431

This wildly popular steakhouse with swift, professional service, a classy supper club ambience and extensive wine list has topped "best of" lists for over 20 years in Boca Raton. For dessert, order cheesecake with strawberries, straight from Carnegie Deli in NY, a real treat!

The Capital Grille

6000 W Glades Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431

The Capital Grille is best known for its expertly prepared steaks, which are dry-aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. Capital Grill has seating in the bar area that's first-come, first-served (no reservations), so when they're super booked and you are a small party, you can get a seat. Also, they have a special a couple times a year for a Wagyu burger and a glass of wine for $25 (and these are $20 glasses of wine!) so a definite loss leader/great value.

Chops Lobster Bar

101 Plaza Real S, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Chops Lobster Bar in Royal Palm Place is a true destination, offering Boca Raton’s best quality USDA Prime meats and a wide selection of pristine seafood. It boasts two levels: Chops, a luxe steakhouse setting that offers the best quality and traditional steakhouse menu items. And Lobster Bar, a chic seafood bar with an extensive raw bar.

Ruth’s Chris

225 NE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Their signature 500° sizzling plates, USDA Prime steaks each seared to perfection and finished with butter paired with their award-winning wine list are the perfect pairing for any occasion. Whether you’re joining them for a romantic dinner, a business meeting, a private party or just a drink at the bar, their Boca Raton steakhouse will deliver superior service and an unforgettable dining experience.

Check out my favorite places to hit the links around Boca.

Red Reef Family Golf Course

1221 N Ocean Blvd, Boca Raton, Florida 33432

Nestled between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean in Boca Raton is the charming seaside 9-hole Red Reef Executive Golf Course. This is a public golf course that opened in 1957 - no way would this ever be possible with the value of land today! Designed by Joe Palloka, Red Reef is a par-3 course measuring 1357 yards from the longest tees. The greens are bent grass, the pace is relaxed and the ocean breezes are unforgettable!

Deer Creek Golf Club

Located just south of Boca Raton in Deerfield Beach is Deer Creek Golf Club; designed by legendary golf course architect Arthur Hills to remain challenging to local golfers who visit regularly, and to be as enjoyable for visitors who travel from all over the world to play golf in South Florida. No membership is required to enjoy the TifEagle golf course or any of the club amenities. My favorite aspect of Deer Creek is taking a golf lesson with teaching pro (and YouTube sensation!), Jess Frank.

Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club

199 Royal Palm Way, Boca Raton, Florida 33432

With risk-reward par fives, water features, strategically placed bunkers and large well-protected greens, the golf course at Royal Palm is as scenic as it is challenging. The course ranges in yardage from 7,116 from the back tees to 5,011 from the forward tees, providing an elite golf experience that can be enjoyed by players of all levels. This is a member's only course.

Boca Raton Resort Golf Course

501 East Camino Real, Boca Raton, Florida 33432

The redesigned par-71 Resort Course and treasured Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary plays 6,253 yards and features many elevation changes and twelve acres of water, including the signature, island-green finishing hole. Play is limited to The Boca Resort Club Members and resort guests.

Woodfield Country Club

3650 Club Place, Boca Raton, FL 33496

Woodfield’s stunning, 18 hole golf course recently underwent a $7.9 million renovation. Woodfield’s brand-new course features a dynamic layout with large, gently moving fairways and dramatic bunkers. With an overall yardage of 7,200 yards from the Championship Tee and a spectacular island green on the 17th hole, the course provides lasting memories for players of all levels. This is a member's only country club course located within the community of Woodfield Country Club.

St. Andrews Country Club

17557 Claridge Oval West, Boca Raton, FL 33496

St. Andrews offers 36 holes of championship golf. Rolling fairways and berms, terraced greens with deep bunkers, and testy water hazards characterize both the Palmer course and the Fazio II Course. This is a member's only country club course located within the community of St. Andrews Country Club.

Osprey Point Golf Course

12551 Glades Rd., Boca Raton, FL 33498

Having received numerous awards since its opening in 2010, Osprey Point Golf Course is one of the top public golf courses in Florida. Featuring 27 holes spread out in three nine-hole courses, Osprey Point provides a serene setting with a Platinum Paspalum turf, which presents a lush playing surface from tee to green.

Best Sushi in Boca Raton

Best Sushi in Boca Raton

Boca Raton is a mecca for upscale dining and sushi restaurants are no exception. Check out my favorite local sushi spots - after all anyone can make a California Roll, but these options take sushi to the next level.

Morimoto

501 E Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432-6127

Located in The Cloister East End, the renowned Morimoto features creative ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. For Boca Raton Resort Club members and resort guests only.

Yakitori Sake House

271 SE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33432-5009

Yakitori has been a landmark destination in East Boca for those seeking authentic Japanese cuisine. Known for their traditional Japanese cuisine and extensive menu and centrally located in Royal Palm Plaza.

Sushigo

477 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432-3927

He is known as Chef Joe, and he takes fish seriously. Sung Gook Joe, a sushi veteran who worked at Nobu in Miami Beach, presides over his 30-seat eatery with stern rigor. Don’t expect genial shouts of “irasshaimase” upon entering or goodbye waves and smiles upon leaving. The pristine and pricey cuts of fish, however, are a joy. Some are flown in from Japan, and some are blasted clean of microbes and parasites in his minus 80-degree medical-grade superfreezer.

Lemongrass

101 Plaza Real S, Boca Raton, FL 33432-4837

Lemongrass Asian Bistro has transformed your dining experience to a whole new level. Since 2006, Lemongrass Asian Bistro has taken a unique approach to style, flavors and ingredients, yielding new innovative recipes to Asian cuisine. Order online, pick up or have it delivered. Pick up is a breeze — just text them and they will bring it out to your car.

Oceans 234

234 North Ocean Boulevard, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441-3801

Oceans 234 is an award-winning, oceanfront restaurant in Deerfield Beach offering the finest dining experience in South Florida. Situated just steps away from the sand Oceans 234 is more than just a breathtaking view. Bonus - not only do they have my favorite sushi dish - Jalapano Hamachi - they are only place on the beach with fresh, never frozen fish.
