148 Thatch Palm

Tuesday Tours Ep.15 - $6,995,000 Golf Estate in Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club

Hello friends, welcome to Tuesday Tours. Today we are going to be touring 148 Thatch Palm Cove, a new construction offering by Bloomfield Construction offered at $6,995,000. Let’s check it out.

In new construction offerings we are accustomed to see beautifully done interiors and shiny things, but often, the true beauty lies behind the scenes. This offering comes with 400 amp service, insulation with flame retardant, and a 48KW generator, big enough to power the entire house in the event of a hurricane.

This home was completed this year by Bill Hasey, owner and founder of Bloomfield Construction. This particular house was made in collaboration with Terri Polimeni Interior Design, resulting in some gracious and beautiful interiors that are contemporary, but still fraction a little bit of the costal vibe that we really love here in Florida. The house is about 7,700SqFt under AC with five bedrooms and six and a half baths.

Probably the most exciting feature about this particular house is this miraculous indoor/outdoor room. It literally brings the outside in. It comes with two different barriers. It has hurricane impact doors that close on a diagonal which isolate the room from the rest of the house and brings it outdoors and a screen that joins the house back.

The Dining and Family Rooms lookout over onto the 14th fairway, the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club Golf Course. The view to the pond is extremely beautiful but still private. A couple of the features of the Living Area that I really appreciate are the floor-to-ceiling hurricane impact doors which slide open, and the beautifully done white oak architectural ceiling which brings a punch without trying too hard.

The Kitchen also has a few features that I thing are super cleaver and fun. We have these windows behind the cabinets that have a lot of decoration potential and also bring in some natural light, this massive and beautifully done island, and of course, the compulsory WOLF and SubZero Appliance Package. The design team also incorporated in some under-lit shelving, which gives a little bit of a pop and keeps it classic and fun.

Rather than having a bar space that’s hidden away from view, the design team elected to have an open wine bar concept. It has dual SubZero whine chillers and this really fun backdrop with some open shelving.

Here we have a backlit acrylic design feature. What I love about this is the way that they have done it makes it easy anyone to change out the outwork to whatever they like, and still have a backlit acrylic feature.

Outside in the backyard area, we have wide open views that go as far as the eye can see, a water feature, and a gorgeous fire and ice thing, blue rocks for the fire place.

Welcome to the Master Suite! We have a continuation of the 12Ft ceiling heights trade up to 13Ft. What’s interesting is that the room is located in a private corner of the house. It overlooks the Golf Course, so there are no other homes that are visible from here.

The His Master Bath has a few things that are really exceptional going for it. It’s masculine without feeling like a cave, and has gorgeous book-matched slabs of marble in the His shower, both usually forgotten areas. The Hers Bath has a big soaking tub, a big expansive shower and makeup area, and a closet that’s straight a department in Saks Fifth Avenue.

In a home of this caliber, most people are going to ask for a dedicated workspace, and this house offers just that. The room is an office/den, has a wet bar, some really fun ceiling details that are carved out of drywall, and a feature wall.
