Best Ice Cream in Boca Raton

Since I happen to be a big fan, I decided to pay homage to my favorite ice cream shops around Boca Raton. Here's where to get the best ice cream in town.

Phenomenom

Curiosity got the best of me when my friend explained Phenomenom's unique way of combining your chosen ingredients with cream, sugar and a a blast of hydrogen while you observe deliciousness in the making.
P.S. - you have to try one of the bakery goodies... the cookies are just as yummy as the ice cream!

Serendipity

501 E Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Serendipity is definitely a must if you are at the Boca Resort. It's like walking into the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory with retro toys and games, Gumby, Chutes and Ladders, Twister, silly putty, and just happy food. Legendary frozen hot chocolate - yes, just like the one in NYC and worth every calorie. If you're feeling fancy, there is a champagne vending machine and a $1000 Golden Opulence Sundae with 50 scoops of ice cream topped with gold leaf!

La Gelateria della Musica

177 SE Mizner Blvd Suite 36, Boca Raton, FL 33432-5007

For homemade gelato that can't be beat, check out La Gelateria della Musica on the northeast side of Royal Palm Place. The owner makes all of the wonderfully flavored and musicslly-named offerings. Pick from about 20 different ones. You will come back, often. My own favorites are Banana, Pistachio and Sweet Coconut.

Sloan’s

329 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Sloan’s is located conveniently inside Mizner Park. If you’re looking for great ice cream that tastes homemade in so many flavors that picking just one is really difficult, this is it! The peanut butter sundae is to die for. This is the perfect spot to have an after dinner ice cream and take a walk around Mizner Park.

Yogurt Emporium

6063 SW 18th St, Unit 102, Boca Raton, FL 33433

Remember that Seinfeld episode where they figured out that the fat free frozen yogurt was actually ice cream?? Let's just say I've had that thought here - this frozen yogurt is so creamy and delicious, you won't believe it's frozen yogurt. The flavors rotate frequently and there is always a nice variety. My favorite flavor is the cookies and cream and the chocolate covered banana. Yogurt Emporium is in a neighborhood strip mall and is a well-kept local secret.

Cielito Artisan Pops

430 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, Fl 33432

Cielito offers hand crafted high-end frozen treats that might have the shape of a popsicle, but they are something else. They have dozens of flavours daily including vegan options. I had one with cardamom and it was phenomenal. Lots of natural ingredients and they let you try some samples (cut into tiny pieces served on toothpicks) to help you decide which flavor to get. They also carry PUPSICLES for dogs! If you're a fan of the 'Gram, you'll have a great time in the very feed-friendly sitting areas! Post a pic with the golden wings and tag me.

The Boca Beach House

A wonderfully charming, eclectic place with tasty, reasonably priced food and incredibly friendly staff just a block from the beach. The menu has a perfect mixture of traditional and unique options - check out the awesome Crab Cake Benedict or avocado toast with eggs for elevated comfort breakfast. If you're feeling adventerous, try the eggsadilla or breakfast tacos. No matter what, bring your appetite; portions are genrous... the omlettes are called "five egg omelettes" for good reason.

Saquella Cafe

A healthy alternative to the fast food culture where the baristas are trained to prepare cappuccinos like you see in the movies and everything is made fresh in house. Saquella Café was offering outdoor dining before it was "a thing" and fresh, healthy options since inception. If you're craving carbs, the house made patries are very popular here.

Raw Juce

TThe best organic ingredients in chef-created recipes for cold-pressed juices, smoothies, acai bowls, and salads that taste amazing. It’s a difference you can taste and feel. For those looking for die-hard "tastes like the lawn" kind of juice, it is available here; buy Raw Juce is just as well known for super sweet smoothies with heaps of goji berries and drizzles of honey on top. Bonus: raw vegan pastries. If you're into it, I recommend the "snickers."

Cote France

Head chef Xavier started as an apprentice in a French bakery at the age of 13 and now serves up authentic French food, baked goods, and custom cakes that are prepared and baked daily. The cheesecake is airy and creamy, the eclairs are world class. You can not go wrong with the pastries. My personal favorite is the croque madame... the best I've had outside of Paris!

Bagelworks

8177 Glades Road, Unit 1&2, Boca Raton, FL 33434

Bagelworks is a locally-owned upscale bagel restaurant, with deli and take-out specializing in freshly made bagels, salads and overall "Ridiculously Good Food." Eat in or take out including a great patio and well done social distancing inside. They offer online ordering and takeout. Try the tuna - it's a local favorite. My choice: Carnegie Reuben sandwich!
